Getting to know A Classic Cruize
Dependability, Flexibility, Smile
Describe the transportation experience a bride or groom would have if they hired you for their wedding day.
Our cars are a glamorous reminder of yesteryear, providing charm, style and elegance to the bride or groom’s entrance.
We are flexible and cater to all reasonable requests. Our driver can dress to match the car era or in a more traditional shirt and dress pants.
We even offer cars just for photos for couples who a holding the wedding at the same venue as their accommodation but would like a car for photo purposes.
Describe your ideal road trip.
Nothing beats driving through the countryside in an old American classic! The sensations of accelerating, the engine induction roar, the tone of the exhaust and the smoothness in the ride make for an ideal road trip in our minds. The grace, style and comfort of the inside of the car also enhance the drive.
What is your absolute favourite car and why?
This all depends on which one of us is answering the question!
Glenn’s favourite is the 1957 Chev Bel Air. It showcases all the major 50’s style without being over the top. From the distinguishing hood ornament, sweeping stainless side mouldings and anodized-aluminium quarter-panel trim, to the characteristic tail fins and dual exhaust. It’s a true American icon that not only looks good but runs like a dream.
Rochelle’s favourite is the 1960 Corvette, oozing style and class. The seats hug you, which make you feel free, as if you’re a race car driver when you’re driving it. You certainly feel like a movie star in this car!
Note from The Busy Bride’s Founder, Kimberley – my absolute favourite car is the 1957 Chevy too!
What trends are you seeing right now?
We are getting a lot of mid-week weddings.
Glenn and Rochelle’s advice for a ‘smooth ride’ on your special day…
We think there are a couple of things to consider when choosing a car for your wedding, such as:
- Photos. What sort of car photos you would like? Do you have a theme to your wedding, such as Vintage or Rockabilly? Is the colour of the car important to you? Will your partner appreciate the car style, e.g., is there is no way that the bride could turn up in a Chevrolet when the man she is marrying loves the Ford?
- Ease of exiting the car. Your dress will be amazing but how easy will it be to get in/ out of the chosen car? Consider the fact that low-to-the-ground cars or 2-door-cars, can make it hard to get out of the back if you have a big dress. In which case, a 4-door or higher-sitting car may be the better option.
- Doors. Our 1947 Ford has suicide doors, which is great not only for exiting the car but also for those photos taken inside the car. These ensure your perfect photo is not ruined by having the door in the shot.
- Flexibility. You have to laugh and have fun, accepting that no matter how hard you plan, vintage/ classic cars are old and, like most old things, tend to not want to move some days. We will always offer an alternative that may just end up working out better than the original choice.
With a range of gorgeous classic cars to choose from, A Classic Cruize will be sure to wow your loved ones on your special day!
