Getting to know Facial Beauty

Reliability, Friendly, Professionalism

What do you love most about working in the wedding industry?

I love being able to look after the bride and/or groom and their families.

What is your favourite moment in a couple’s wedding day preparation and why?

I love seeing the bride getting into her dress and then putting the veil in her hair. It’s a truly special moment where hair, makeup, wedding dress, shoes, flowers and accessories come together.

What is your favourite ‘look’ right now?

I love boho hair and beautiful makeup that accentuates the bride’s features.

What advice can you give couples when they are choosing someone to pamper or style them on their special day?

Couples need to do their research and check the stylist’s work on social media channels to make sure that their work is what they are looking for.

Maria-Luisa’s tips for gorgeous hair and make-up…

  • Take the week off before the wedding so that you can attend to everything that needs to be done and just spend the last few hours before your wedding relaxing and with your bridal party.
  • Look after your skin with good skin care and make sure you drink plenty of water as this will hydrate your skin.
  • Make sure you colour and cut your hair two weeks before the wedding.
  • Have all your beauty treatments done the week before the wedding.
  • When it comes to hair, it should suit the theme of your wedding and the neckline of your dress as to whether you wear it up or down.
  • Makeup should complement your natural features and should match your skin colouring.

It has been a pleasure welcoming Maria-Luisa to our vendor community!
