What do you love most about owning a business in the wedding industry?

I love helping couples to achieve the style they are looking for whilst keeping to their budget. Most importantly, I love taking the stress out of the day so that they can sit back, relax and enjoy every moment of both the lead up to their wedding and on the day itself.

What is your favourite “look” to design for a couple’s special day?

I like to infuse romance, simplicity and nature into my styling. Whether it be a romantic boho theme or a luxury all-white setting, it’s all about the romance.

Trends that Marisha is seeing right now in the wedding industry are…

• Micro weddings that are small on guest count but big on impact and extremely personal
• The resurgence of baby’s breath used on mass

Budget is often a concern for couples. What tips do you have for them about keeping costs down while still making the space look great?

• If you have a ceremony floral installation, make sure you can reuse it at your reception to make the most out of those beautiful flowers.
• Make sure you have vases on hand for your bouquets, as these can make a lovely additional to a bar or side table.
• Something as simple as having the napkins folded in a particular way can add dimension to your styling with no additional cost.
• For knockout wow-factor, a hanging arrangement is amazing but keep your tables super simple, so it is the only feature of the room.

Marisha’s advice to couples when choosing styling elements for their wedding includes…

• Using Pinterest to decide on a style is great, but once you have decided on something stop looking, as you will keep on finding new things and want to change your mind.
• If you are looking for a colourful palette, we love to use vibrant blooms to infuse colour into wedding.
• Simple and elegant styling never goes out of fashion.
