The Gallery of Modern Art’s Roof Terrace and the Queensland Art Gallery’s Watermall are two premier spaces that offer couples a sophisticated, yet modern setting for their wedding day. 2. State Library of Queensland

With a range of versatile spaces to choose from, the State Library of Queensland, located in Brisbane’s cultural precinct, has much to offer couples on their wedding day. From outdoor terraces overlooking the Brisbane River to indoor rooms lined with resources and books from the library’s collections, their 11 specialty spaces are sure to ‘wow’ you and your guests. 3. Queensland Museum

4. Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC)

On its own private floor, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s rooftop terrace and function room provides the seclusion you desire for your wedding day. 5. Brisbane Powerhouse

Modern, industrial, creative, inclusive. The Brisbane Powerhouse is known for all of these characteristics and more. The 1920s power station turned contemporary cultural icon is a landmark venue in the river city. 6. City Hall and King George Square

What makes the venue unique?

You’d have to have lived under a rock to not know of Brisbane’s sparce open space, King George Square (unless of course you’re from out of town!). But did you know that the grand 1930s City Hall, amongst its civic duties, also caters to weddings and events? In partnership with event producers, Epicure, you can hire anything from City Hall’s high domed-ceiling auditorium, to smaller, but still elegant spaces like the Hamilton Lounge or Brisbane Room.  For the ultimate party, King George Square itself can also be booked.

7. Maritime Museum
